To celebrate the opening of the new dedicated Cosgrove Hall Films Archive space at Sale Library, Waterside, CIT and the Cosgrove Hall Films Archive are delighted to present a series of hands-on animation workshops taking place at Waterside Arts in The Studio.
Suitable for ages 5 and up, these imaginative and accessible sessions offer a playful introduction to the world of stop-motion animation, inspired by the iconic characters and films from the Cosgrove Hall Films Archive.
Get hands-on with clay in this creative claymation workshop. Participants will follow along with a step-by-step tutorial to make a basic clay model, learning how to shape and prepare characters specifically for animation.
Once your model is ready, you’ll have the chance to animate your creation on camera by making a short frame-by-frame animated clip, inspired by your favourite characters from the Cosgrove Hall Films Archive. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of clay animation while encouraging experimentation and imagination.
