A choral society's male members enlist in World War I, leaving the demanding Dr. Guthrie to recruit teenagers. Together, they experience the joy of singing while the young boys grapple with their impending conscription into the army.
Our Friendly screenings aim to make cinema more accessible to local communities by providing a fun and inclusive experience to enable people living with dementia or additional access needs, their families and carers to attend the cinema in a safe and welcoming environment.
The screenings are enhanced to include:
- The lights are left on low, there are no adverts or trailers and the audience is allowed to move around – or sing along to any musical numbers!
- The cinema will be open for half an hour before the screening starts so that people can familiarise themselves with the space.
- There will be a short interval halfway through the film for tea and coffee to be served.
- Refreshments have been kindly donated by Sale Festival.
