Step into the timeless elegance of Pride and Prejudice in an unforgettable candlelit concert experience with live string music from the Artaria Quartet.

Set within the stunning Art Deco Chambers of the Waterside Arts Centre, the Artaria Quartet brings romance, wit, and drama to life through a varied selection of music, inspired by Pride and Prejudice, that has captivated audiences for generations.

Dale Culliford, of the Hallé Orchestra, will lead us through a rich narrative journey, exploring the historical significance of both Austen’s work and the music associated with it.

From the beloved soundtracks of the iconic 1995 and 2005 screen adaptations to exquisite String Quartet works by Haydn, Dvořák, and even including invigorating versions of Celtic and Danish folk music, this enchanting programme weaves together classic storytelling and breathtaking live performance.

Join us for an evening of passion, refinement, and musical brilliance—perfect for devoted Austen fans and lovers of beautiful music alike.
