Waterside has its own dedicated and highly experienced Events team who knows everything about the building and how best to run and organise your wedding or civil ceremony. Each event is individually arranged to ensure that your day is very special indeed.

If you're looking for a Greater Manchester wedding venue that's both romantic and memorable, we at Waterside can offer the venue to you exclusively, ensuring you're the only guests in our stunning venue on the day of your celebration.

The Ceremony

The Chambers can be booked for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships only. Conveniently located next door to Trafford Registry Office, the beautiful 1930s room can seat up to 110 guests. To check availability please use our online enquiry form here .

Drinks Receptions

Waterside can offer several spaces for drinks receptions:

The Chambers

Accessed via Sale Town Hall or Waterside, The Chambers is an intimate room bursting with natural daylight, high ceilings, wood panelling and many more beautiful features to view. This one-of-a-kind room means it will lend itself to a special ceremony.

Civil Ceremony: 40 – 110 guests

The Robert Bolt Theatre

For larger ceremonies why not use the back-drop of a theatre to wow your guests. This modern and versatile space with its own stage (top table), lighting and sound system can be transformed into the most theatrical wedding room. If you prefer to exchange your vows on an evening with a musical accompaniment on stage, we couldn't think of a venue that would be so intimate and ceremonious.

Civil Ceremony: 100 - 200 guests

The Lauriston Gallery

Waterside's main gallery is a beautiful space to host your drinks reception pre and post the ceremony, enhanced by the art works framing the walls. This area is an ideal space for you guests to relax with drinks and canapes.

Drinks Reception: 10 – 110 guests

The 'Sup Bar

The 'Sup Bar is also available as an alternative for drinks receptions.
