Join us for an evening celebrating adventure from some of the most spectacular places on earth, brought to you by the world's biggest mountain Festival - Kendal Mountain Festival.
A chance to watch a selection of award-winning films from long-distance endurance events to cinematically beautiful tales showcasing adventure from across the globe. Each film will be introduced by the Kendal Mountain Festival team.
Guest Speaker:
Alongside a screening of his film, Will Renwick is sharing his incredible personal story on stage - his challenge to be the first person to run all 189 of Wales’ mountains in one trip.
Will achieved this incredible feat of endurance in a record-breaking time of just 23 days and raised an incredible £12,500 for Mind Over Mountains, a charity which works to restore mental health through nature.

Inspired by their mutual connection to Pierre Bergman, whose life was forever changed due to a biking injury, they created a universal trail design that not only brings flow, speed, and excitement to adaptive and non-adaptive riders alike but also strengthens the bond within the biking community.

When Will Renwick set out on this challenge, he had no expectation of completing. A solo and self-supported 500-mile run taking in all 189 of Wales’ mountains. It soon transpired, however, that positivity, determination and the will to support an important cause would carry him far further than he could ever have imagined.

The Farm Under The City

Luke Ellis is a builder-turned-farmer who has set up an innovative new business in the heart of Sheffield’s industrial quarter. His ‘Leaf + Shoot’ is an underground vertical bioponic farm built in a disused spring factor, a closed loop system that takes the food waste from local restaurants, cafés and businesses and uses organic cycling methods to grow micro-herbs and vegetables beneath the streets of Sheffield. Follow Luke on his inspirational journey to revolutionise the way we all think about urban farming.
Meet the 86-year-old Marathon Runner

Ginette is 86-years-old. She ran her first marathon at age 69 and runs ten miles every day. In 2019 she ran her seventeenth New York City Marathon. “It’s nice to be the oldest, because there’s no more competition,” she says. We are honoured to be screening this vibrant and uplifting film made by The New Yorker, which inspires us all just to keep moving.
