Loaded with pulsating hooks and enigmatic tenacious vocals, Annabel Allum oozes charisma and showcases an adept ability to marry folk-style storytelling with snarling fuzzy indie.

Singer-songwriter Karima Francis was originally a drummer also providing backing vocals for alternative/indie band Litterbug. Now a guitar player and singer of enormous range and power, she has been likened by some to a young Joan Armatrading, but with a unique style of her own. This is coupled with a small number of lyrical and powerful self-written songs.

Support from Lacuna J
Just like her name, Lacuna J's music is alluring and evocative. Her voice is raw and real, trilling up and down breathtaking runs that cut through the slinky bass lines and ethereal synths of her debut single, "No Bruises No Scars". Growing up in Manchester, she related more to the stubborn daisies growing through the cracks in the pavement than to English roses. So now she writes misfit love songs and confessional odes about sexuality and bleeding emotions in a unique combination of indie lyrics and electronic beats.

In the Robert Bolt Theatre.
