Creative Care Kit - new kit for older people added

Waterside has been working with 25 other organisations to make and distribute creative kits full of things to do to 16,000 older people across Greater Manchester.

Even as restrictions around coronavirus continue to lift in England, many older people still face the prospect of being isolated at home for many weeks, particularly those who do not have access to the internet.

The Creative Care Kit contains a range of activities that can be completed at home using materials that are provided in a box, including an activity book, art supplies and a seed bomb.

There are more than 40 pages of activities including music, writing, craft, horticulture and drawing.

Last month 22,000 Creative Care Kits for young people with limited internet access were also distributed.

You are welcome to download your own copy of the 36 page book full of ideas, activities and tips to support wellbeing. This resource is free to use by young people, families and those who support young people.
