Covid-19 Statement

The health and wellbeing of our staff, visitors and artists is our top priority. That’s why following the latest government guidance concerning the spread of the coronavirus we have taken the decision to close Waterside with immediate effect. At this stage we are unable to confirm when we will reopen.

We know many of you will be looking forward to attending performances and events here at Waterside. If you have made bookings for forthcoming events, we promise to be in contact in due course. Some events may be cancelled, some tentatively rescheduled for later in the year.

The team at Waterside will continue to monitor the situation closely. Where possible we will work remotely, so there may be some interruption to our communications.

This is a difficult and uncertain time for all the artists, visiting companies, staff, freelancers and the many groups based at Waterside. We are committed to supporting them all during these unprecedented turbulent times.

Please do follow us on social media for the latest updates.

On behalf of the Waterside team, we thank you for your continued support and wish you the best during these challenging times.

Sincere thanks for your patience.
